Aluminum alloy doors and windows have almost replaced wooden doors and windows and steel doors and windows in civil buildings because of their good sealing performance and appearance. However, due to materials, construction and other reasons, leakage is one of the most common common problems. An analysis of the problem for peer reference.

First, the cause analysis

   1. The section size is small, the material is too thin, the nodes are flat spliced, and the gap at the joint is too large. In the supervision, the author found that some construction units in order to reduce the so-called cost, first, the thickness of the selected aluminum alloy profile is less than 1mm or shoddy; second, the frame material is not spliced. The aluminum alloy doors and windows have the phenomenon of poor rigidity, large deformation, and severely reduced sealing performance. Some of them show obvious sway during opening, which causes cracks in the frame and the wall due to shaking, which not only causes leakage, but also affects them. Use function

   2. The connection between the frame and the wall is not strong, and the construction measures are not strong. The connecting piece is thin in material and not wide enough. It is not based on the wall material to select the connection structure, but the white iron and nailing method is used in general, and some are directly nailed into the brickwork gray joint with small cement nails. The spacing is too large, which greatly weakens the connection stability, and easily causes cracks between the frame material and the wall in contact with it, causing leakage, and also burying hidden dangers for the user's use safety;

   3. There is no gap between the frame and the wall or the embedded material does not meet the requirements. The joint is not dense, and the contact surface between the frame and the wall is not treated with anti-corrosion treatment. Some construction units use cement mortar for the sake of saving or not looking at the drawings. Caulking, causing leakage due to cracking of cement mortar, and corrosion of aluminum alloy frame material due to cement, affecting the durability of doors and windows;

   4. Do not leave the drain hole or the sealant is too thick to block the drain hole, so that the rainwater in the push-pull slot of the lower frame of the window cannot be removed in time, causing the rainwater to infiltrate into the room;

   5. The gap between the frame and the wall is not sealed with sealant or the process is rough. The author found the most problems in the supervision work: the groove is not arranged between the frame material and the wall body, the sealant is not used and the glue is applied. The dust on the surface of the notch is not cleaned, which makes it a weak link in waterproofing;

   6. The material selection in the lower frame is too small, the section size does not meet the standard requirements, and it is not raised according to the regulations. Some even bury the window frame in the sill plaster layer, which makes the rain easily penetrate into the room;

   7. The upper part of the window does not make the drip line or the olecranon according to the regulations. The slope of the window sill is too small or the flooding occurs. This is one of the main reasons for the current water seepage in the window;

   8. The gap between the joints of the frame material is sealed without sealant, causing water seepage at the joints;

   9. The rubber sealing strip or water blocking brush strip of the installation glass is not in place or appears to fall off;

   10. Before installing the door and window, do not correct the verticality of the front side to avoid water seepage due to the inward tilt of the window frame.

Second, preventive measures

   1. Carefully read the construction drawings, carry out detailed technical disclosure, clarify the node construction practices, strictly implement the three-check system, and strictly control the quality of the process;

   2. Strengthen the cooperation of various types of civil works, the size of the opening should be reserved according to the type of interior and exterior decoration technology, to ensure that the size of the door and window openings meet the requirements of relevant regulations;

   3. Strictly control the quality of aluminum alloy profiles. The quality of door and window materials and their accessories must conform to the current national standards and relevant industry standards. The dimensions of the profiles must meet the design requirements. The thickness of the profiles must not be less than 1.2mm . When combining horizontally and vertically, the inserts should be inserted to form the overlap. The surface should be 10mm long and sealed with a sealing paste or sealant;

   4. Before installation, the installation position line should be ejected first. During installation, the verticality of the front side should be checked in time, and the gap between the frame and the wall should be adjusted to ensure that the gap around the wall is uniform, and the width of the gap should be about 20mm . To create good conditions for caulking, it is strictly forbidden to bury the door and window frame directly into the wall;

   5. Strengthen the inspection of the quality of the connection between the door and window frame and the wall. Strong connection is one of the key points to ensure that the doors and windows do not seep water. The distance between the embedded iron parts and the corners of the door window shall not exceed 180mm , the spacing of the embedded iron parts shall not exceed 500mm ; the width shall not be less than 25mm and the thickness shall not be less than 1.5mm ; The fixing method should be selected according to the type of the wall: if it is a wall, it can be fixed by 4mm or 5mm nails; if it is brickwork, it can be used to drill holes of not less than 10mm with impact drill . Plastic expansion bolts are fixed, and it is strictly prohibited to use nails or cement nails. If it is a small block, it should be pre-embedded iron parts, and embedded with fine stone slabs or brickwork in the vicinity of the hole;

   6. When inserting the frame and the wall around the wall, it should first be embedded with mineral wool strips, glass wool felt strips, foam strips or foamed polyurethane strips to avoid the formation of cold and heat exchange areas around the door and window frames, thus creating knots in winter. Dew phenomenon, the groove should be left 5-8mm deep groove, the groove should be filled with sealant or sealing paste, it is strictly prohibited to use cement mortar to fill;

   7. The lower frame of the window is 20mm higher than the living window sill. The slope of the window sill should be obvious. The upper part of the window should be made into the drip line as required. The lower frame should be drilled and drained, and the sealing glue should be blocked to facilitate the timely removal of rainwater.

   8. The rubber sealing strip used for glazing should have a 20mm telescopic allowance and be disconnected at the four-cornered bevel. The breakage must be adhered with a sealant to avoid temperature shrinkage cracks. The seal and brush strip must be set. Put it in place to prevent it from becoming a weak link in water seepage;

   9. Gluing should be carried out by skilled workers. As the saying goes: a line will be hit to ensure the quality of the glue and to avoid water seepage due to the intermittent glue.
