November 7, the finals of the 18th China Jeanswest Cup Casual Wear Design Competition were held at the Beijing 798 Central Hall. A total of 20 outstanding entries from design colleges and universities across the country made it to the final round. Marin from the Beijing Institute of Fashion emerged as the champion with his winning piece titled "NOW." This year’s competition, themed “Growth in Motion,” showcased a fresh and innovative approach by integrating contemporary elements into the design concept, reflecting the nation's prosperity and development through modern creative thinking. As one of the most prestigious and long-standing events in the domestic casual wear industry, the China Jeanswest Cup has gained widespread recognition from both domestic and international design institutions and professionals. Over the past three months, the competition received an impressive total of 5,645 submissions. Participants skillfully captured current creative trends, using the historical context of the motherland's growth as a central theme. They utilized unique materials and craftsmanship to create diverse styles of casual wear, each showcasing a strong sense of fashion and a distinct spirit of the times. The works highlighted the variety, freedom, and avant-garde nature of modern casual wear. Through this competition, a new generation of talented and promising designers has stepped into the spotlight. The finalist pieces demonstrated contemporary characteristics, reflecting the creativity and vision of today's young designers. They represented the highest standards of Chinese fashion design education and received high praise from the organizing committee and judges alike.
